Commodities

I love commodities!  It’s been my passion long before my exit at Tiffany Marble, but I’ve learned a million times more about commodities now that I have the time to spend on them.  I was a training director at Tiffany Marble, but at this point I have no desire to train anyone on the art and science of trading commodities.

One thing that I should include in regards to trading commodities, something that you will see over and over on any site talking about commodity trading...

Warning: Future Trading Involves High Risks and You Can Lose a Lot of Money.

Another bit of advice that I was fortunate to have received.  If you ever subscribe to a commodity trading publication, you’re going to be overwhelmed with junk mail from a million different publication all making ridiculous  promises.  I’m very thankful the place I learned commodity trading informed me of this first thing.  I’m convinced the only way to trade commodities is to learn the trade yourself, and not relying on anybody else’s recommendations.  If their advice was so good, do you think they would pass it on to you?  Do you think anybody cares about your money like you care about your money?  Of course not!

You do have to be careful.  In commodities, with the leverage involved, you can make huge dollars.  But, always keep in mind that you can actually lose more money than you have invested, if you’re not careful.  That is why I have spent so much time learning the art, science, and psychology of commodity trading.  Like the saying goes; “measure twice, cut once.”  So it goes with trading commodities.

If you’re interested, here are some links to some of the more domestic and a few international trading exchanges.

Happy trading.
